Our services include comprehensive hearing testing in a sound-treated booth, including special Visual Reinforcement and Conditioned Play Audiometry for small children. Infants can be tested using Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emissions, Tympanometry, and Acoustic Reflex testing. We provide cerumen (ear wax) management and Tinnitus Evaluation and Treatment. We also offer a full array of state-of-the-art digital hearing aids, as well as Assistive Listening Devices, such as amplified telephones, television headsets, and musicians’ monitors.

Tinnitus Evaluation and Management

Tinnitus is described as a ringing in the ear, and can range in severity. A tinnitus evaluation can help you identify how tinnitus interferes with your daily life and if there are treatment options that can benefit you.

Pediatric Audiology

Depending on the age of your child, different play techniques are employed to determine the amount of hearing loss in each ear. They include the use of pure tones and speech stimuli. For our youngest patients, information specific to each ear may not be obtainable, but we use the data we can collect to determine a treatment plan.

Battery Sales

We keep a supply of batteries on-site for your purchase. Stop in routinely for fresh batteries. Check the batteries in your hearing devices often and make sure there is no dirt, wax or debris interfering with each battery’s performance. Batteries that are properly charged will make a noise (a squeal) when cupped in your hand or after the hearing aid has been inserted in your ear.

Hearing Aid evaluations

The hearing evaluation is a battery of tests which determines your ability to hear and interpret sound. It all starts with a thorough history, and a visual examination of the ear canal and eardrum.

Diagnostic Hearing Evaluations

During your examination you will be tested using a series of high and low frequency words to determine your ability to understand verbiage within a conversation. We will also give you several words to repeat. The results will help us determine your percentage of hearing loss, your ability to understand speech, and how hearing aids will improve your ability to hear.

Tympanometry is an examination used to test the condition of the middle ear, the mobility of the eardrum (tympanic membrane), and the conduction bones by creating variations of air pressure in the ear canal.

Otoacoustic emission testing allows us to understand how the outer hair cells of your inner ear are working.
