Hello there,

It’s Dr. Lacey Brooks here bringing you the November edition of our newsletter.

November means just one thing! Thanksgiving!

With the end of the year fast approaching, we have so much to be thankful for. It has been an incredible year here at North Houston Hearing Solutions, thanks in most part to our incredible team, wonderful patients, and our generous community.

With the latest statistics suggesting that 1 in every eight people have some form of hearing loss, it breaks my heart that so many people within our community could be spending the holidays feeling isolated and miss those special moments that this time of year brings.

So, in the spirit of giving back, we’ve launched something special for the month of November, our Hear for The Holidays campaign! You can nominate yourself, a friend, family member, colleague, or member of the community who has a hearing loss to win a free pair of hearing aids!

This closes at the end of the month, where we’ll be announcing the winner!

Your November
Hearing Health Tip

For someone with a hearing loss, it is a lot easier to talk to people who know about it. A person who knows you well is more likely to be patient and understanding.

If you’re anxious about a loud gathering at Thanksgiving, why not make the first move and request to be seated next to a friend or family member who is aware of your hearing loss.

Don’t be shy about telling your host what you need to feel comfortable at the Thanksgiving table such as being seated with your back to the wall to block out any unnecessary background noise.
